A blackface mountain sheep stands along the Ring of Kerry in the Killarney National Park, County Kerry, Ireland. It is common practice in Ireland for shepherds to paint designated colors on their sheep in order to keep track of ownership in the shared grazing lands.
Blind artist, Carmen Papalia leads students on a Blind Field Shuttle, a non-visual walking tour of the campus of Haverford College. The Blind Field Shuttle is part of a trust-building, experimental art event which engages the closed-eye participants to experience the world by primarily using sound and touch.
One obstacle at this year’s Bilenky Junkyard Cyclocross, an annual cyclocross race held in Philadelphia, PA, was a late ’90s model Pontiac Grand Am which blocked the entire course. Some riders dismounted from their bikes while this rider took the high road going up and over the car.
